Mickey Mouse Games
Mickey Mouse Games are rocking this holiday season. Games are defined as a ‘structured activity’ which can be done for fun or enjoyment and is sometimes very educational as well. Children need these activities to mold and develop them as they are supposed to be and Disney understands this need pretty well. The most entertaining and magical animation and movie production outfit in the world has come up with several toys which can be played as a game with and enjoyed by the whole family. Some were based on traditional games spiced up a bit only done in the Disney way.
Recommended for kids aged 36 months – 10 years
This game is versatile and can be played by children as young as three to those in grade school (10 year-olds). From the name itself, the game is based on ‘tag’ with children learning basic things such as recognizing names and descriptions as well as learning the alphabet and different colors. Although one can play this game and try to beat his or her own time, up to six players can join the fun.
There are also two bonus games included namely ‘Treasure Hunt’ which is very much like hide and seek and ‘Memory Mouse-ke-tag’ wherein the players need to memorize what the game master (Goofy’s recording) states. Note that it needs three AA batteries to be powered and that there are several little pieces so adult supervision is required when toddlers are playing to prevent risks of choking.
Recommended for children ages 3 and older
This amazing set from Mickey Mouse consists of not just one, nor two but eight different games to be played and enjoyed by the whole family like bingo, memory match, dominoes, checkers, tic-tac-toe, go fish, rummy and crazy eights.
The package comes as a drawer-like colorful box with a checked board on top. Once you open the drawer, different components of all the games mentioned are inside such as game cards for Bingo, small button tokens for tic-tac-toe and rectangular dominoes all printed or painted with Disney characters.
You really get your money’s worth with this set since your children can play these games with you. Just be careful not to leave toddlers with the set since there are small items that they can easily choke on.
Recommended for children ages 3 and up
Mickey’s clubhouse comes in different styles and provides unique fun. This play set which is based also on one of Mickey’s Clubhouse episode consist of a plastic club house which needs to be assembled but is complete with different rooms like the kitchen (with a refrigerator) and an attic (with a nice black telescope), Mickey and Minnie mouse tiny figures, and small furniture like a red sofa and a checked table.
When you pull the lever, you will hear a song from the same episode this was based on. Like the two other toys, this has very small components and so children should be watched over by their parents when they play this game to prevent any choking accidents.
All these can be viewed online and ordered from there as well. You can also view several other educational games that may interest your children!
Games are a very important part of growing up and they are very educational among other things. For one, they allow us to spend time together as a family. This lends to lots of bonding and learning from one another, encouraging a sense of closeness and respect among one another. Every time we play a game we encounter new experiences, we laugh together, and we’re able to have fun together. Games, just like the Mickey Mouse games, can be a subtle learning tool. They teach our kids important life skills. This can include patience, concentration, teamwork and perseverance, to name just a few. When we play games that require taking turns, following rules and even losing a game, kids learn skills that they can apply at school and in the home. So grab a game, or two, and sit down to some long hours of fun!
